Our Story

From the beginning of time, when God wanted to put into operation any plans of His, He
used various means to communicate His intentions. At times, he spoke directly to
individuals as He did to Moses when He wanted to free the Hebrews from Egypt. At
other times, he spoke through dreams as He did to Joseph. He also spoke through visions
as He did to John on the isles of Patmos. Christian Victory Chapel came into existence in
like manner.
In 1981, a seventeen year old teen age girl had an encounter with the Lord. As she sat in
the living room of her aunt, a voice began to speak to her. Being innocent, she did not
take the communication seriously; she thought nothing of it. The voice told her many
things which have come to fruition. What concerns us now is the aspects that have to do
with the establishment of Christian Victory Chapel.
The voice told her she was going to get married, get divorced and remarry. Her second
marriage would be to a powerful pastor. It told her they both would work together and
establish a ministry. The ministry would be a healing ministry. It told her, in the absence
of her husband, if she laid hands on the sick and prayed, healing would take place; also if
she was absent and her pastor laid hand on the sick and prayed, healing would take place.
The voice gave her the name, Ticker. At that time, she did not know of any Ticker nor
had she even heard of one.
Nineteen years after this encounter, this seventeen year old teenager has married, gotten
divorced and remarried to a pastor, Rev. Dr. Samuel F. Ticker, the name given her in
1981. In 2003 they both established Christian Victory Chapel. This seventeen year old
teenager is Mother Caroline Hodge Ticker. She attended Bible College and obtained BA
Degree in Christian Education and is cofounder and assistant pastor of Christian Victory
Chapel, (CVC).
